Liability Insurance, sometimes known as third party insurance, protects the insured against the financial consequences of being sued by a third party as a result of negligent conduct on the part of the insured. The negligent act may be one that causes personal injury, death or property damage. Liability for negligence may result not only from the conduct of the insured, but also from the conduct of his or her agents and employees.

A general liability policy insurance provides for the claims settlement, the defence of lawsuits brought against the insured including the payment of judgment sums up to the limits specified in the policy. The insured’s cooperation and assistance is required in the defence of the claim.

Insures against Legal Liability of a carrier of goods for reward for loss or damage to goods in their care custody and control.

Insures against loss of others resulting from a wrongful act in the discharge of their duties on behalf of the organisation.

Insures against legal liability of professionals like Lawyers, Doctors, Architects etc for losses arising from any error or omission in rendering their professional services.

PUBLIC LIABILITY

Insures against Legal liability to third parties for loss of or damage to their property arising out of the insured’s business operations.
